La Petite Montjoie
Holiday Home on the Estate
This charming village house is directly adjacent to the estate. We acquired it in 2016 and completely renovated it in 2024, combining the nobility of old materials with the comfort of modern amenities. From its terrace, it offers a magical view of the hill of Vézelay and the valley of the Cure.
You will stay in the village of Tharoiseau, in the heart of a preserved site, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, at the foot of our vineyards, in a calm and rejuvenating natural setting.

We have thought about your arrival. You will find in the house laundry detergent, dish soap, dish towels, sponges, basic condiments, welcome coffee/tea, and toiletries for the first few days.
The House
Over three floors, our holiday home offers a bright and open living space on the ground floor with a cozy living room, extended by a modern and well-equipped kitchen. The dining room opens onto a terrace facing Vézelay, where you can enjoy breakfast, coffee, or an aperitif with a breathtaking view.
The garden extending from the house is an ideal place for reading, afternoon tea, games with the children, or a nap in the shade of the cherry tree.
The Bedrooms
Beautiful intimate spaces for rest, our bedrooms offer high-quality bedding. The bed linens come from a fine French house, and the linen curtains softly filter the daylight. The furniture has been sourced from antique shops or comes from our family history, and the photos on the walls are from Sophie's personal collection.
Each bedroom has a private modern bathroom, where the shower becomes a moment of pleasure.
Vézelay and surroundings
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the basilica and its village never cease to amaze us! But off the beaten path, the entire countryside and surrounding villages are worth visiting: small wash houses, remarkable churches, walks through the vineyards, energizing rivers, and the forests and lakes of the Morvan... will be part of your stay.
Upon your reservation, we will share our best addresses with you: restaurants of course, but also picnic spots, the most beautiful viewpoints, our favorite walks, our best artisans, and the markets where you can find them!
